History I landed in a very high kill rural shelter in Kentucky, missing half of my fur and with skin so red and raw it was painful to look at. Sadly, that shelter provides no medical care, so I lay there for weeks, itching 24 hours a day and feeling like my skin was on fire. Luckily, another KY shelter scooped me up before I was going to be put to sleep and brought me to their much better shelter, then contacted CDR and asked if I could come up to their foster program.
