History
I have lived with my current mom, dad, and grandma since I was 6 weeks old, although I’m definitely Grandma’s “baby.” I have grown up with my dog brother Winston and my dog sister Jersey. But recently, I have not been very friendly with Winston and my human family loves me very much but we think it may be better for everyone for me to find a new forever family.
Personality
I am a very sweet and loving girl. I love to cuddle on the couch with you. I will take up ALL of your lap space. My dad lets me sit on his lap and I will jump up, even up to the bar stool if that is where he is sitting and wrap my paws around him and give him big hugs. I have a lot of energy. I will run in my big fenced in yard all day if my grandma will let me, the classic Pittie zoomies! And look out—when its time to come in, I don’t yield at all as I cross over the door threshold! I love to play tug of war with Jersey with the rope toys, and anything with a squeaker in it, I make it my personal mission to find the squeaker and extract it! Grandma gives me a bone every morning I go outside (I don’t get it if I try to cheat and only go pee LOL). Dad has tried to get me to go swimming with Jersey. He even got me a life jacket, but I was not a fan like my sister. I am not a fan of the lawnmower or weed eater either… I think they are big toys and I just want to eat them. When it is bedtime, Grandma says I don’t know what personal space is. I use it all ‘cause I just want to cuddle up close to you and give you kisses until I fall asleep. I ride well in the car and will lay down quietly in the back seat once I know we aren’t just going around the corner. I do well at the vet too!
Cohabitation
I am good with all people, all ages. I just love them!
I am good with small children, but if they are hyper, and there are too many of them, I will feed off of that and it can be overwhelming for the adults in the family!
I am very dog selective. I do well with my sister Jersey, but with Winston lately, not so good, and with some of my family and friend’s dogs, I can sometimes get stressed or edgy after not very long. I have never lived with a cat-so just don’t know about that.
Favorite Activities
I love to cuddle, run in the yard, play with my toys, take naps on your lap, and watch TV with you!
Why I am looking for a new home
I have been living with my current family since I was 6 weeks old and just recently started not getting along with my dog brother Winston. Its hard on my humans managing all three of us dog children when some of us aren’t getting along. My human mom and dad think it may be related to the fact that I am really grandma’s dog and that I feel I need to protect Grandma from Winston. We are thinking it would be best if I find another home either as an only dog or maybe one other dog if we can get along and the family adopting me is willing to work with a trainer to test and acclimate me into the family!
Medical
I am up to date on my vaccines and spayed and I am a healthy pup. I am still young so do need a little more work on my housebreaking.
Summary
I love to cuddle and lay on the couch with you but I am still young and so need an occasional outlet for puppy energy. This could be long walks or going out for a jog with my person, or just a secure fenced in yard where I can do my Pittie zoomies. I would do best as an only dog and would do great with an active family, as long as there aren’t too many very young active children. Oh, and be prepared for my invasion of your personal space, especially during TV watching and at bedtime!
