Emmett is a very happy go lucky, athletic 4 year old, but when it is time to settle down and cuddle he is your man!
***Emmett is not a CDR dog and has not been evaluated by CDR. This is a courtesy posting for his foster family who will make all decisions about his adoptive placement.***
History
What is he??? Your guess is as good as ours, collie, border collie, hound, rat terrier … let’s call him an Ithaca mix! He is a tall 38 pounds and could stand to gain a few pounds as well! Which he will happily achieve with his favorite toy, the Kong filled with all sorts of goodies. If you have bologna or chicken to put in there he would be ever so grateful and entertained.
He was recently neutered and had his tail amputated, he became so happy to receive some loving in his foster home he hit his tail and broke the end open… no luck in it healing. He feels much better without it and can wag til his hearts content without pain!
His last home consisted of young children and unfortunately a lot of alone outdoor time. He is crate trained, walks well on a harness, is up for any car ride you are willing to take him on, is housebroken and knows a few obedience commands and tricks.
Personality
He is great with other dogs, but is a little too interested in cats and chickens to live with them or any other small exotics you may have in the home.
He would absolutely love a fenced in yard! That would his ideal situation but if you are up fulfilling his exercise needs it is not a must.
Medical
Emmett is up to date on vaccines, is heartworm negative, fully vetted with heartworm prevention and flea and tick on board! His adoption fee is $300. A home visit is required so please live close to Ithaca, NY.
