But when faced with dire circumstances, you just kind of figure it out, and I learned to drag myself around pretty well using my front arms! Thankfully, a wonderful Nepal rescue group found me dragging myself around … Continue reading

History

I landed in a very high kill rural shelter in Kentucky, missing half of my fur and with skin so red and raw it was painful to look at. Sadly, that shelter provides no medical care, so I lay there for weeks, itching 24 hours a day and feeling like my skin was on fire. Luckily, another KY shelter scooped me up before I was going to be put to sleep and brought me to their much better shelter, then contacted CDR and asked if I could come up to their foster program. I came all the way from KY, where I was originally in a high-kill, very crowded shelter. I landed in that

make some space (aka put a bunch of us to sleep), so luckily a volunteer lady in the shelter told the great
people at CDR about me. They had a place with a warm bed for me, and I was able to hitch a ride on the
transport to Ithaca!
