Charlie

Quick Facts: Breed: Mexican Village Dog Gender: Male, neutered Age: 3 years old Size: 70 pounds Good with… Dogs? Yes…especially if they’re smaller than I! Cats? Yes! Kids? 12+ if calm! Hello! My name is Charlie and I’m a smart, curious, inquisitive 3 year-old male! History My pregnant mother was found stuck in a bear trap just over the Mexican border in southern Texas. Horrifying, right? She was rescued, thank goodness, and her puppies were adopted out all over the U.S.! I was adopted by my current family here in upstate NY and we’ve been a sweet pack for 3 years now. While I’ve been happy and healthy, living in a house with two little kids and lots & lots of action and commotion is too much for a pup like me who is happiest when things are calm, quiet, and predictable. Personality In a calm home environment: On most…

Adopted: Monkey

Breed: St. Croix Island Dog Gender: Male Age: 3 months! Size: Currently 20 pounds, maybe 50 – 60 full-grown? Good with… Dogs? Yes! Cats? Not yet tested Kids? Not yet tested Hi! My name is Monkey and I am such a happy pupper! History Monkey came all the way from St. Croix where he was a homeless pup, living in the end of a pipe at a dump. No Mama Dog was seen with him, we don’t know how he got there or what his history was but we are pretty sure it was sad. Some dogs are dropped off at the dump, some find their way there with other dogs, some are born there. He just showed up one morning, in that pipe, barking at anyone who came close to him. He was clearly scared and trying to protect his space. Two wonderful Dog Rescue folks,  Katie Nelson of…

Yes, 9+ Hi, my name is Cooper and I am SUCH A GOOD BOY!!! History I was bounced around a bit as a little pup, getting some love and care with some teenagers who were doing their best to take care of me. The second teen’s family said I could live with them, but had to stay outside 24/7 because one of their family members is allergic to dogs. They were nice, but I didn’t love being outside all the time, too much time alone, and autumn was here and it was getting COLD! The next-door neighbor saw me out there in the cold, and was having none of it. The same family had had a former dog live outside for its entire life, and it…

My name is Buddy and I am super affectionate, smart, and incredibly playful!! History and Why I Am Looking For a New Home I was abandoned in winter when I was less than a year old. Very scary, very cold! I was found by the side of the highway, in the snow, by 2 very sweet ladies in their 80’s. They saved my life by getting me off the side of that snowy highway, and for a while, gave me a wonderful home. Loads of love, tons of toys, and all the food I could ever want! But I am a big guy, and they were both tiny and kind of fragile, and we all realized over time that I…

Sometimes! Calmer, respectful dogs! Cats? Maybe/Probably! Kids? Yes! I absolutely love children of all ages! Hi there! My name is Fang, and I am a mellow, loving, and gentle Lab mix looking for my new family! History I had quite an impressive beginning to life! Guess what? They chose me as one of these special super-awesome dogs! I worked there for a…
