Hello! My name is Luna and I am a very sweet and affectionate pup!

***Luna is not a CDR dog and has not been evaluated by CDR. Luna’s family will make all decisions regarding her adoption.***

Luna is a 7-month old purebred Great Pyrenees pup who weighs about 55 lbs. She belonged to a backyard breeder but was found, on multiple occasions, wandering in the road with her 2 brothers. The owner/breeder bailed them all out several times, but the fine increased every time they were picked up. So the last time, she took Luna’s brothers but left her there. She is a very timid girl and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. She’s very sweet and affectionate and is … Continue reading

History

I was owned by some folks in rural KY who kept me outside 24/7. They never spent any time with me, I was out there by myself all the time, it was very sad. With nothing to do, I would dig holes in the dirt to entertain myself (and also to lay in when it was hot). They didn’t like me doing that, and when they took me to the local high-kill shelter to leave me forever, they told the staff that they were tired of filling in the holes I dug, so they were getting rid of me. Sad story, and I was quite scared … Continue reading

Background:

I came in as a stray to a very overcrowded, high-kill shelter in Tennessee, where I was going to be put to sleep because I had heartworms. This was a totally curable illness, not contagious, but sometimes in these shelters it’s “one strike and you’re out.” Lucky for me, they said I was just too special and one of their trainers took me under her wing so I could get treatment (I’m all better now!), and then helped get me into a rockin’ CDR foster home!

Personality:

If you’re looking for a perfectly mellow, gentlemanly dog, look no further than me. … Continue reading
