Hi, I’m Bella, which means beautiful in Italian, and everyone says that is the perfect word to describe my soul!

History

I was adopted by a wonderful human mom many years ago. We and another older, smaller dog lived together so happily and with so much love until our mom passed away 5 months ago. Her passing was the saddest thing ever. We didn’t have any place to go, so mom’s vet clinic boarded us while they searched for new homes for us. After 5 months of patient waiting, we both found places to go! I got to enter the CDR foster program and am now living in a wonderful foster home which is so much fun, I cannot …

History

An elder in the family went into nursing care with dementia and when I was transferred into a temporary foster care situation, they found that I had unfortunately been severely neglected due to the dementia of my owner. History

I came from a “kill only” shelter in Georgia, where dogs are not adopted out and where our only chance is for a local rescue to pull us and try to find homes or another rescue for us– otherwise we are simply killed. I was incredibly lucky to have been pulled …

I have been through quite a bit in my 4 years! I landed in a very crowded shelter in Thailand, knowing there was something not right with my back legs. I struggled to get around and I was in a lot of pain. Thankfully some kind people stepped in and rescued me! They were wonderful to me! They gave a nice place to rest, and plenty of food and water but they realized that I needed more help with my injuries, so they …

My name is Sammy (aka, “Scampers”) and I am a delightful and adorable little guy!

History

I am the most delightful, adorable, sweet, funny, silly, loving, affectionate, and friendly little guy! I used to live in Katmandu, Nepal, on the streets (like a ton of dogs there), and life was awfully hard.

I had no idea how much harder it could get, but then I was struck by a motorbike or motorcar and became paralysed from the waist down. Oh boy, that was really rough. But when faced with challenges, you just kind of figure it out, so I learned to drag myself around pretty well using my front arms! Thankfully, a wonderful Nepal rescue group found me dragging myself …

Hello! My name is Chloe! I’m an incredibly sweet, affectionate, (but shy/scared) Aussie mix girl!

History

My former life was rough and scary and left me quite shy and nervous about new people, new places, and unexpected sounds. Before being rescued, I spent some months chained up to a barn and ignored by the people who were supposed to be my people, and where I was before that was also awful, but I try not to think about it. I am thankful every day that the Cornell vet students who came to the farm where I was chained out, offered to take me from those mean people. And I am thankful that those people didn’t want …
