History

Dr Pepper flew in from the beautiful island of St Croix a few weeks ago. His litter was found as strays on the streets. The wonderful folks at St Croix Animal Welfare Center took them all in.  They received their initial vaccines & were neutered.  Once they were healthy enough to take a flight north we partnered with them to find him his forever home.

Needs

Dr Pepper’s adopters will ideally have a fenced yard (Invisible fence is OK), a companion dog to live with and a veterinary reference that will be able to confirm a client history of giving Heart Worm prevention on a regular basis.

Personality

Dr Pepper is an outgoing, confident, goof ball with the funniest ears you have ever seen.  He is being fostered in a multiple dog household and is great with everyone.  He even has a few pig and chicken friends.  He is crate trained, almost 100% potty trained and has had some puppy socialization classes, He is an exceptionally quick learner and knows sit, hand touch and spin.  He is a great car traveler. He is most likely a mix of Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, German Shepard, or Doberman. These are the predominant breeds found in the larger St Croix street dogs.

Summary

His foster mom says he’s one of the best puppies she’s ever fostered, he’s excellent at entertaining himself and loves learning.

If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an online adoption application and live close to Ithaca, Syracuse, Binghamton, Rochester, or Elmira. He is being adopted through SAOIRSE PASTURES, a newly founded non profit here in Ithaca. His adoption fee is $375.
