History
I came from a kill shelter in Georgia, a shelter where dogs are not adopted out and our only chance is for a local rescue to pull us and try to find homes or another rescue for us, otherwise we are simply killed. I have met so many wonderful people on my way to upstate New York and I have a feeling that they all played a role in saving my life and helping me on my way to hopefully a new life in a forever home! Whew, I am glad I don’t really understand how close to death I truly was!
Personality
I love people!!! Let me repeat…I LOVE people! I love to play with you, I love to snuggle and cuddle with you, I am super loving and want so much to please you! I really enjoy crawling up on your lap, gently putting my paws on your shoulders and my head on your chest, and just staying there, hugging you. For as long as you will let me. Pull up a good movie, because I will hug you like this until you have to get up to do something! My ideal home is one in which people wanted me to snuggle with them on the couch and in bed…when I am touching you, I am in heaven!
Despite having already been a mom, I am still a bit of a goofy pup! When I run through the house chasing a ball my foster mom says I look like a cartoon dog! I exaggerate my movements and am all legs and awkward uncoordinated galoomphing…I can be so silly! Add a little cartoon background music and we’d have a hilarious video! Speaking of silly…I’m not always completely sure of how things work. Did you see the video of me looking for the dogs who were on the TV? I am sure they must be behind the TV, or somewhere in the house, but I search and search but never find them! It also took me a while to figure out couches… I put my front paws up first—then v-e-r-y gingerly, one back leg at a time, and then stood there teetering and tottering as I tried to balance myself right on the edge! Hahaha! I’ve got it now!
I am a very, very playful girl! My favorite game so far is “Fetch!” with the tennis balls. Oh my goodness, so much fun! I prance around with the ball in my mouth (so goofy!) and gladly drop it and wait for you to throw it again. And again and again! If only the “Boing! Boing! Boing!” sound could occur when I am playing and running, it would fit me perfectly! And snow! AMAZING! I love when it accumulates on the ground! I will leap through it with such hilarious joy, once again, it really calls for the “Boing! Boing! Boing!” sound effects! I am also an “enthusiastic” lover of stuffed toys. I love playing with them, but I do unstuff them and pull out the squeakers quickly, so they don’t last long. It’s SO MUCH fun, and generally safe as I don’t eat the stuffing or squeaker (haha, but I do leave the exploded stuffing all over the living room floor for you!). Once I know you, I will be very proud to bring you your shoes…I never chew or eat them, just drop them in front of you hoping that you will be pleased! I try to be so good, I’m told it’s quite adorable!
I let you cut my nails without trouble, ride in the car quietly (though it does take me a bit to completely relax), and am pretty good on the leash (but would get better with some treat- filled practice)! I’m learning to sit and I’m trying to learn “off,” but that one is hard because I am so excited to see you!
I am house trained and crate trained, although I recently figured out how to let myself out of my crate. The good news was that I didn’t do anything destructive, so maybe I’m old enough to not need a crate. We’ll have to see!
Cohabitation
I love all people, big and small, male or female so far. Because I am enthusiastic and a goofy, slightly uncoordinated galoompher, I would do best in a home with kids 6 and older. It would break my heart if I accidentally knocked one over or fell on top of a kid!
I love every dog I have met. I love the older dog in my foster home, she is 9 years old, and I’m gentle when she needs me to be gentle, but prefer when she wants to play with me!
I have not yet been tested with cats, but my personality is so sweet and gentle, my foster parents are betting that I might be just fine with cats. We’ll have to check it out of course if you have cats in your family!.

Summary
I am an amazing girl! I am gentle and loving, will make you smile and laugh all day long, love to be loved more than anything in the world, and though I am playful and active, it’s not in a “too much” kind of way (I promise). If you need a gentle head on your lap or chest when you’ve had a bad day I am your girl. If instead you want to play—let’s get to it! I just want to please and be loved in return. Please love me. It means the world to me!
