History
Dandelion was flown here from Nepal, by a rescue group in Nepal who loved him and wanted to get him out of the shelter where he had no chance for a home or a happy life. He was a favorite little dog of the rescue workers there due to his sweet disposition and habit of quietly and calmly following the rescue workers around the shelter. At the shelter, he lived outside in a concrete fenced yard with dozens of other dogs.
His flight to NY was quite traumatic for him. We don’t know if any of the airport workers were mean to him or if he is claustrophobic (so being in a small crate for 36 hours was horrifying to him), but we surely know that being plucked from the only world he knew–a busy, crowded city–and flown around the world in a dark, cold, very noisy cargo hold must have been a lot to endure. He arrived quite traumatized, and needs time and patience to adjust to his new world.
We will write more about him in a few weeks, and will let everyone know when he is ready to find his forever home. In the meantime, please send him your love and thoughts and great energy!
