History
I came from a very busy shelter in Kentucky. I have been with the wonderful students at Schoolhouse Rescue since early Fall 2016. Although everyone is really nice here, I’d love a family of my very own!
Personality
I have a very outgoing personality!! I love people and sometimes get very excited when I see people. I try so hard to keep my feet on the floor. I’m a work in progress some say!
My very favorite thing to do is run around in the play yard!
I REALLY love it when Miss Erinn brings her dogs for me to play with. They can keep up with me which is a big order to fill!
I really enjoy playing fetch with rope toys and tennis balls. Ya know what is really fun?? Throwing toys up in the air and trying to catch them. I don’t catch them often but it’s still fun, fun, fun!
I love to go for walks!
When the weather allows, the students take me for a nice walk outside. I love to see new sights and explore. My hound nose can really get a good workout!!! I walk nicely on a leash with a martingale collar. I’m no slug, so my walking partners better be able to keep up!
I’m very smart! I learn quickly and enjoy structure. I will do anything for yummy food treats. I already know how to sit, lay down, and shake!
I am good about coming when called in a fenced area. I would love to continue my training with someone. I have overheard Miss Erinn talking about agility, barn hunt, tracking, and obedience. I often wonder what all those things are. They sure do sound fun, fun, fun!!!
Cohabitation
People? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people!!! I am so happy to meet everyone! I can a bit over the top with excitement sometimes. I recently have spent some time in a home with a 5yr old boy. I really adore this kid! He likes to walk me on a leash around the house. He also is really nice shares the chair with him. I think the reason I like him so much is because he understands me. I have been told that he is very “dog savvy”. He knows how to act around me which is super!!
I wouldn’t mind sharing my space with a cat or two. As long as they like me, I will like them too! I have been spending time in a home that has two cats that are very cat savvy.
I like every dog I meet! Sometimes there are dogs who don’t want to be friends, and I’m so confused? Why not? We’re dogs! Let’s have fun together!
I really like it when Miss Erinn brings her dogs to school to play with me. They are a ton of fun!!
I have been very good in Miss Erinn’s home. When I need to go out, I go over to the door and nudge the door knob. I have been keeping my crate nice and clean. I love all the cozy blankets. Miss Erinn makes sure I have yummy marrow bones to chew on. I travel back and forth to Miss Erinn’s house in a crate in her car. The first few times, wooooooo……..Car sickness! But, now I’m an old pro!
My hound nose, curiosity, and my long reach get the best of me sometimes. Miss Erinn calls it “counter surfing”. I call it looking for handouts! Miss Erinn keeps a close eye on me. She says I’m like a 2yr old child. If she can see me or hear me, I must be up to no good!
I would not enjoy living in an apartment and neither would your neighbors!! I do have a very loud bark especially when someone comes to the door. I quiet down quickly though.
Favorite Activities
Playing fetch with tennis balls and toys, running around and playing in the yard with the kids and my toys, chewing on marrow bones and kongs (yummmm frozen yogurt) throwing toys in the air and catching them, going for walks, playing with other dogs, taking naps on the sofa, snuggling with my human friends, learning new things with my 2-footed friends like how to shake!

Summary
