If you love the spirit and happiness of a Boston Terrier, Darwin could be the dog for you! If you are active and love to participate in dog sports – Agility…Flyball…Barn Hunt… Darwin is the dog that could bring home the ribbons! If you enjoy long runs (or walks) on trails and in the woods, this boy would be a great companion! If you enjoy a dog who loves being with people, Darwin is it! Energy and enthusiasm for life exudes from Darwin’s adorable being!!

Long leash walks with his dog walker friend who visits him several times a week give Darwin the much needed and joyfully awaited outlet for his enthusiasm, and romps in a fenced in area give him that extra bit of time he loves to spend outside in all kinds of weather.

Darwin came to our rescue as an owner surrender in Kentucky (reason unknown). Before coming north he was in a foster home with other dogs and several cats and did great, but as he has had no cat exposure for quite some time so Darwin might need a refresher course on cat etiquette. His tenacious terrier temperament and enthusiastic invitations to play are not enjoyed by all dogs, and can even get him into trouble if they are misinterpreted by other dogs. For this reason, he is not a dog who would do well at a dog park, but he is likely to be good sharing a home with another dog if that dog likes his play style.

Darwin’s love of attention and human companionship means that he will thrive with a person or family who can spend time with him during the day. He is crate trained and with a good schedule, is very clean in his surroundings. Participating in an obedience class would be a great opportunity for Darwin to show off his bright happy spirit and he would love spending time with his human(s) in the bonding experience that formal classes offer.
