Wicker

Hi, my name is Wicker, and I am one super affectionate, lovey-dovey, overjoyed purebred, 8-10 year old, spayed, female Tricolor Beagle!  I'm so overjoyed because I was saved from a high-kill shelter and accepted into CDR's Vintage Beagle Program!  I am having the time of my life!

My foster mommy is so kind and helpful, and all of the other dogs in the house are teaching me lots of important things about indoor living.  I'm very healthy and housebroken and crate-trained, and I LOVE snuggling with my foster mommy!  When I can't get next to her (there are lots of other dogs vying for her attention), I am happy to snuggle up with another dog, while I gaze adoringly at my mommy, waiting for my turn next to her.  Since I do love other dogs so much, I am really hoping that I go to a home that has one (or more)!

I have recently discovered Nylabones, which I am telling you (in case you didn't know) are the BEST things in the world.  I throw them up in the air and chew on them like crazy and act absolutely delighted and amazed that such things exist.  I also really love to run around in the fenced yard here.  I'm a bit clever about getting out of the yard when the gate is open even an inch, so you have to be careful with me!  My foster mommy says that I enjoy sniffing around in the yard so much that she is going to require that I go to a home that has a fenced yard.  She just can't imagine me being happy without one.  Just make sure the gate is latched at all times!

People do keep telling me that I'm super cute.  I hope you think so!  I'm in terrific health and spirits and I'm ready to meet you!

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application today and live EITHER within 30 minutes of Ithaca OR very close to Syracuse, Binghamton, or Owego.  We do home visits on every applicant, and can't do home visits where we don't have local volunteers.

Because of the high rate of accidents between dogs and young children, we rarely adopt out our dogs or puppies into homes with young children.  If you think your particular situation might warrant an exception, please feel free to inquire with us.
