Riley

Hi! My name is Riley, and I am a very sweet and handsome, 6-7 month-old, 20-pound, fine-boned and lanky, neutered male Terrier mix! I was saved from an icky puppy mill, and am so relieved and grateful to be in a wonderful CDR foster home with super kind people and wonderful other dogs.

Though I was fairly shy when I first came here, I have made great progress and am a friendly little guy now! My temperament is fairly calm and thoughtful in general and especially in new situations. I am fabulous with other dogs and love playing with them. I can sometimes be very vocal when I'm playing, so hopefully you will find that endearing.

I'm very healthy, am up to date on vaccinations, am being crate trained, and have made good progress with housebreaking (but am not 100% yet). I'm learning to walk well on leash and know "sit" already! I would love to learn more, treats are wonderful!

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application today and live EITHER within 30 minutes of Ithaca OR very close to Syracuse, Binghamton, or Owego. We do home visits on every applicant, and can't do home visits where we don't have local volunteers.

Because of the high rate of accidents between dogs and young children, we rarely adopt out our dogs or puppies into homes with young children. If you think your particular situation might warrant an exception, please feel free to inquire with us.
