"Getting treats"

Ellie

Dear Susan and Melissa,

Thank you for your lovely note.  Indeed, Ellie is the perfect match!  Justine
did such a great job with her; she's a doll.  Yes, I've got pictures! (attached) And here's Ellie, in her own words:

"I am adjusting just fine to my new home -- or maybe I should say homes!  It's a good thing that I like to ride in the car because my new mommie travels a lot.  But I figured it all out right away because I just go wherever my security blanket goes.

In Aurora, I love going out in the morning and sniffing the bunny trails and deer trails, seeing who visited in the night.  Sometimes we go for a walk in the woods, too. I also do what mommie calls "helping me work in the garden," but I don't really have the hang of that yet.

In Pennsylvania, I stay with two big dogs.  I think I'm getting to like them, but I'm not sure about this thing they do called "playing".  And it's fun to watch them catch things, but it's not for me, thanks.  At least not yet.

And I have a cat, too!  He goes everywhere with me.  The first week, he kept giving me dirty looks and stomping off muttering something about "trying to monopolize the Human."  Must be a cat thing.  I think now that he wants to play with me like he does with the big dogs, but as I said, the whole "play" thing is kind of strange.  But we do touch noses almost every day, and sometimes he rubs right up against me.

And that is the kind of thing I really like best.  I am glad that mommie spends a lot of time with me and we cuddle a lot.  I do my little dance for her, too.  Everyone seems to like that!  I'm a happy dog and learning new things every day. "

Again, thank you so much for all you did to make the match.
