We have an easy 4-step adoption process (details on the right side). Because we rely on volunteers to conduct your home visit, we can only do local adoptions fairly near to Ithaca, Binghamton, Syracuse, or Corning.

4 STEPS TO ADOPTING A DOG
Application
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE FULLY COMPLETED TO BE ACCEPTED. Please take your time and fill out the adoption application as completely as you can! Fill out and send in this Adoption Application. Remember You MUST give your contact info as well as your email address! How would we be able to contact you otherwise? :-)
Home Visit
One of our volunteers will do a home visit with you and your family members.
Why do you need a home visit?
We are all volunteers and we spend much of our free time saving dogs and finding them homes. These dogs and puppies have already been through a lot, and they live in our homes with us and they very quickly become part of our family - even if only for a few days or weeks. We want to see where they are going to live - so a home visit is a must for ALL applicants prior to adopting a dog or a puppy. We're sure that if you had dogs living with you, you would want to know where they are going to live too!
References
We do a veterinarian reference check on all approved applicants. After your home visit is completed, please call your veterinarian and give them permission to give us a reference.
Meet Your Dog
The moment for which you've been waiting! You come and meet the dog who has drawn your interest. If you and the dog like each other, then we will arrange another visit so that any of your current pets can meet the dog too!
