Hi! Our names are Snickers (I'm a boy!) and Elfie (I'm a girl), and we are the Dynamic Duo! We are
super adorable, sweet, friendly, and affectionate 2 year-old, Dachsund/Hound mix siblings who would love
to be adopted together into some wonderful lifelong home but will be ok being split up as long as each
of us goes into a home where there is at least 1 other dog! We are fully grown, with Elfie weighing
about 28 pounds and Snickers weighing about 34. We are sweet playful pups and we love to give kisses,
snuggle on your lap, and make you laugh with our rascally antics.
We're housebroken, smart, eager to learn, and have some good young dog energy (we wrestle and chase each
other around the house), but are also great at relaxing and taking it easy. We love going for a couple
of nice walks a day, and are largely past our puppy chewing stage. Our foster mom and dad can't tell
you strongly enough how sweet and silly and fun we are to have around. We make them laugh constantly
(wait until you hear our hysterical sounding morning yawns!), and melt their hearts with our cute little
kisses and the way we snuggle up beside them.
We are crate trained (we love sharing a big crate so we can cuddle together), we know "Sit" and "Wait"
really well, and would make fantastic agility dogs. We're both athletic and super fast, and Elfie has
a special talent for jumping...it's like she's got springs in her feet! We each have our favorite
games...for Snickers, it's grabbing a dog toy or a rope and playing, "Look what I have! Look what I
have! Chase me, chase me!!" and for Elfie it's chasing her brother through the yard executing amazing
flips and turns. We both love affection...Elfie loves to lean into you and snuggle up, and Snickers
loves to give little kisses.
We are hoping for a lifelong home where we will get lots of love and attention and great walks and
continued obedience or agility training! We are terrific all-around pups, with wonderful temperaments,
great funny energy, and lots of love to give. We are healthy, housebroken, and up to date on all
vaccines.

30 minutes of Ithaca OR very close to Syracuse, Binghamton, or Owego. We do home visits on every
applicant, and can't do home visits where we don't have local volunteers.
Because of the high rate of accidents between dogs and young children, we rarely adopt out our dogs or puppies into homes with young children. If you think your particular situation might warrant an exception, please feel free to inquire with us.
