Harris Has Been Adopted!
Hello New York! My name is Harris!
- 8-10 month old, 45 pound, Yellow Lab/Great Pyrenees mix!
- Incredibly sweet, loving, adorable, playful!
- Terrible background, was terrified when rescued, just trembling and shaking and belly-crawling, but is making a wonderful recovery and finding his playful, happy self!
- 100% sweetheart, just a total love!
From his Foster mom:
It's been a week since Harris arrived here in NY, and his progress thus far is most impressive.... I'm so proud of this guy!! Upon arrival he was so terrified he wouldn't get out of the car... after finally emerging (which required much coaxing) he just cowered and shook, until finally feeling somewhat at ease after meeting his canine foster brothers. A mere week later, he doesn't resemble that frightened, nervous, scared little fella at all.... he is just the VERY happy, playful, friendly pup he was destined to be... he excitedly greets/approaches me now, LOVES attention, frequently seeks playtime, and is always nearby... that tail of his wags constantly now, and happy positive energy just emanates from him... he LOVES to play, with any willing participant or by himself (he does love his toys!)... although young, energetic and playful, he's not hyper by any means... he possesses a nice calm, even keeled temperament. He still exhibits skittishness at sudden movements, sights and sounds, so patience and understanding will need to be exercised with him.... he exhibits NO aggression whatsoever... not with food, toys, treats, attention... he absolutely loves other dogs, and is becoming more and more social.... he's crate trained... appears housebroken.... I'm utterly impressed with his tremendous progress in such a brief period....
