Pupper Has Been Adopted!

Hi! My name is Pupper and I’m an adorable, calm, sweet and gentle, 7- 8 year old, male Cairn Terrier mix!

I am so friendly to everyone I meet, I love people and other dogs, and I’m very lively and independent! One of my favorite things to do is to sit my head between the rails on the deck, and just watch the world go by! I’m an easy and quiet dog and I rarely bark – just once in a while to alert everyone of something. I’m even completely housebroken!

I don’t need tons of exercise but I love to walk and play. I get so excited for walks – as soon as I see that leash, wow I’m so happy! I walk very nicely on the leash too. When I get really excited I do the cutest thing, I just roll over! I’m having so much fun with my foster friends right now, my tail is always wagging away!

I’m not what you call a lap dog. I love to be with my people and lie next to them, but I’d rather be in my own space than on someone’s lap (and I’d rather not get picked up, thanks!). I’m really great with cats too – when they’re walking by I just stop and look at them, and then go right back to what I was doing.

I am in overall good health, though my foster mom has been helping me improve my digestive health and I’m definitely feeling better. I walk with a very slight limp, which doesn’t slow me down, but probably means I have a bit of arthritis. Pretty common for a 7-8 year old pooch!

I’ve been in my great foster home for a few weeks now, and even though I am having so much fun here, I am really looking forward to settling in to my forever home! If you are interested in adopting me fill out an adoption application and live close to Ithaca , Syracuse, Binghamton, or Elmira. We do home visits on every applicant, and can't do home visits where we don't have local volunteers.

Because of the high rate of accidents between dogs and young children, we rarely adopt out our dogs or puppies into homes with young children.  If you think your particular situation might warrant an exception, please feel free to inquire with us.
