Suzie_Mae Has Been Adopted!
Hello! My name is Suzie_Mae and I am one lovable, adorable, sleek-looking 10 years young lady Beagle!
I landed in a high-kill shelter in KY after being found stray (and very skinny). The nice shelter folks took great care of me, including spaying me and fixing my inguninal hernia. After I recovered and put on some weight, they transported me here to my fabulous CDR foster home! I have put on some weight and look shiny and vibrant! People say a look like a baby fawn!
I am a very happy girl, and am curious and quite energetic (for a girl of my age). I love going for leashed walks in the neighborhood for at least one mile, and I enjoy trotting around at the Ithaca dogpark! I get along with all the dogs that come there to play and am one of those adorable dogs that the people "ooh and aah!" over!
I am living with 4 senior dogs and 3 cats in my foster home. I pretty much ignore the cats and interact with the other dogs occasionally and every now and then even play a little bit with one of my sister Beagles!
I am pretty independent and my foster mom says I am low maintenance (whatever that means). I adore having my ears scratched and I adore being petted. I have these amazingly wonderful big velvety ears that are really nice to rub and pet! I really enjoy having a fenced backyard, as we Beagles love to be outside sniffing around in good weather.
I am quickly learning how to be a "family house dog" and have to say that I am enjoying this lifestyle quite a lot! I'm mostly housebroken and my foster mom thinks I am super adorable and really funny and she says she is learning new things about me all the time!
Another thing I love is...TO EAT!!! As all Beagles do. So, now that my weight is good again, you will have to keep an eye on me or I could turn into a bit of a walrus (as any Beagle could!). I don't really ask for too much but gosh-a forever home sounds like pure joy to me. I am quite healthy now, and have just been to our great local vet at Cornerstone Vet Clinic. She gave me the "she looks great!" green light for adoption, so I am ready to meet you now!
