Billie-Jean Has Been Adopted!
Hi everyone!! My name is Billie Jean, and I am a super delightful, sweet, affectionate, smart, and curious 10 year old, female mini-Dachshund! I am such a great little girl!
Life has been full of changes of late. You see, my mommy/owner was 92 years old and, sadly, she passed away. There was no one to take me in, so this great rescue in Ohio gave me a place to stay for a while, for which I am so grateful . They were super nice to me and took care of lots of my veterinary needs. I couldn't stay there though, so I just made the long trip up to Ithaca where I am now in a fabulous foster home with 2 other Dachshunds and 2 great guys and a wonderful house and fenced yard! Usually when dogs arrive from these long transports, they are exhausted and out of sorts. Not me! I was alert, happy, interested, curious, and full of kisses for everyone! I'm a strong little gal, I am!
I really don't act 10 at all...I've got good energy, though have a calm demeanor and I absolutely love people and am great with other dogs. The rescue folks will tell you more about me once they get to know me better. If you think you might like to adopt me, please fill out an online adoption application and live close to Ithaca , Syracuse, Binghamton, or Elmira. We do home visits on every applicant, and can't do home visits where we don't have local volunteers.
