Mr.Jingles Has Been Adopted!

Hi! My name is Mr.Jingles, and I am a very affectionate, very sweet, very playful and loving, 1 year-old, neutered male Dachshund!

I truly love to be with my humans and am never too far away from where they are. My favorite thing to do is to take naps with them (on chairs, on couches, on beds) and to give them (and anyone else who visits!) sweet little Dachshund kisses. I also like to play with toys and go for walks. I am friendly with every human, and with every animal I have met.

I walk very nicely on leash and have perfectly nice house manners. I love to sleep on a dogbed at night as long as it is near my human's bed, though I confess I would be even happier if I was invited into their bed! I love to be lazy in the morning, and as I wake up, I really enjoy a nice belly rub. I also like to eat, so I need to be watched so I don't overeat (no free feeding for me...I would soon look like a walrus!).

I'm almost fully housebroken, and am healthy and incredibly sweet. My foster dads think I have a bit of Basett Hound in me, as the skin on my legs is adorably wrinkly and my paws and ears are bigger than you would expect.

I really like playing with other dogs and derive great comfort from being around another dog (or two) so need a home with at least 1 other small dog in it, and one in which I would get to spend lots of quality time with a person or people. I'm healthy, up to date with shots, and ready for my forever home! If you think you might like to adopt me, please read about the adoption process today and live EITHER within 30 minutes of Ithaca OR very close to Syracuse, Binghamton, or Owego. We do home visits on every applicant, and can't do home visits where we don't have local volunteers.

Because of the high rate of accidents between dogs and young children, we rarely adopt out our dogs or puppies into homes with young children.  If you think your particular situation might warrant an exception, please feel free to inquire with us.
